LS swap it? Honestly, lately I started to think that is the perfect solution for the PRV problem. Keeps it alive while keeping it out of the service garage ;)
Well it has crossed my mind..! Except for the fact that actually my engine is really strong, has never missed a beat and drives really well. It's the electronic gremlins that cause the issues
It is a "Stage 2" anyway so it drives noticeably better (upgrades including engine, suspension and brakes), done in 2005 before they were publicly doing the upgrade (2010 I think?) but when I tried to contact them for details about the conversion done so early (according to the engine plate) I never got a response
I took this video on the same time I made the photo, just as the engine comes off cold-start and begins to settle down to idle - it pops and gurgles beautifully when driving too
(because I refuse to grow up
This car below comes to the car show too but I can't upload it as there is no base for this plate, but it has the LS1 swap and it looks factory, really well done. I had considered the swap for a couple of years after seeing this car for the first time but can't really justify it (cost being the biggest one). I imagine 425 bhp at the wheels makes this car totally different, as my ~100 bhp increase already makes a huge difference!
